Miami GP Lance Q3’e geri döndü
Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula 1™ Takımı pilotu Lance Stroll, Miami Grand Prix’sinin açılış yarışı için sıralama turlarında Q3’e geri döndü.
Lance yarışa gridde 10. sıradan başlarken, takım arkadaşı Sebastian Vettel 13. sırada yer alacak.
FP3’te lastik performansını değerlendirmeye devam ettikten sonra Lance, Q1’i 1.31.787 turla açarak sıralama turlarının açılış aşamalarında en hızlı zamanı elde etti.
18 dakikalık seans boyunca temposunu artırmaya devam etti ve ikinci ve üçüncü koşularında art arda yaptığı iyileştirmelerle Q2’ye ilerlemek için 1.30.441’lik bir tur attı.
Lance, sıralama turlarının ikinci bölümünde ilk 10’un içinde hesabını açtı ve pole pozisyonu atışlarına ilerlemek için düelloda çok önemli bir rol oynadı.
Kanadalı sürücü, çeyrekteki ilk koşusu olan 1.30.363 turunu neredeyse onda dört oranında geliştirerek 3. çeyrekte yer aldı ve 2. çeyreği genel klasmanda sekizinci sırada tamamladı.
As track conditions improved, lap times began to fall and in the final part of qualifying, Lance completed a total of two timed laps to decide his starting position.
By completing his first run on used Softs, he posted a 1.30.823 benchmark while his final run yielded an improvement by one-tenth.
Lapping the Miami International Autodrome in 1.30.676, Lance will start from 10th for Sunday’s Grand Prix.

Sebastian showed promising pace in FP3 and after splitting running across all three tyre compounds, concluded the final practice session inside the top five.
The German maintained this performance in qualifying and after posting a 1.32.212 benchmark, continued to improve by over one second across two runs to navigate his way to Q2.
He beat his 1.30.677 personal best from Q1 immediately in the second part of qualifying with a 1.30.610 lap that was worthy of 13th.
A snap of oversteer during his final timed lap of the session cost Sebastian time in Sector Three but despite improving to a 1.30.214 run, he was unable to progress to Q3.
After missing out on the top 10 by a mere 0.087-second margin, Sebastian will start the 2022 Miami Grand Prix from 13th on the grid.

“I think we had more pace in the car today so I am disappointed to exit qualifying in Q2.
“I had a small wobble in the final sector during my final attempt which, looking at the timings, cost me a place in Q3.
“The car seems to be performing well here, but tomorrow is when it counts, and I hope we can be up there scoring some points.”
